I had an idea for a post one day when I was sorting out my unwanted clothes and folding them into a bag to send off to charity. Giving to charity is something that I feel is very important and often I think people forget that it's very different in various parts of the world and also people forget that others may come from different backgrounds where they're not as lucky as you and they don't get the things that you may get.

I am very happy to say that I have come from a very loving background where I have had both parents that have been able to work full time and provide for me and my family and to provide the things that we need but growing up and interacting with different people (and also, watching the news!) has learnt me that not everyone has the same opportunities as I did and that makes me feel really sad. These are a few ways that you can make a difference in peoples lives.

1. Donating unwanted clothes
Everybody is aware of those little envelopes that get posted through our doors that often get thrown away with the unwanted free newspapers and spam mail - but these little envelopes can make a huge difference to someone else's life. Whilst you're throwing away that really important envelope, there are clothes of yours that are stashed away in your wardrobe that you haven't worn for years or are too small for you, that even though you probably wouldn't be seen dead in them now, a child in a different country would love to have something warm, especially in these cold and dark months.

2. Shoebox appeal
The lovely team at Samaritans have set up an appeal where you can use old shoe boxes to pack them with kind gifts and clothing to be sent over to someone with less unfortunate circumstances to yourself - you can pack anything in this shoe box from toothbrushes to cuddly toys and I think this is such a lovely gesture and I will definitely be doing it this year. (I know many other charities do this kind of thing aswell but the I am very familiar with the work of the Samaritans team)

3. Supporting and campaigning with charities you love
I know a lot of charities do this and it's where you can sign on to their website and put your name down to be a campaigner and this is basically means you're standing up for that charity and showing your love and support for what they do - this keeps the charity on-going and successful because they know it is helping people and it lets them know that their work is not going unnoticed.

HELPING PEOPLE & GIVING SOMETHING BACK

Morning walks are something that I really enjoy but hardly ever have time to do. It' time so nice to take time yourself, grab a bottle of water, your earphones and set off on a alone trip to retain calm and gather all things life. I also felt this was a perfect opportunity to share with you one of my favourite outfits this winter. Personally for me, winter and autumn are my favourite times of the year (not to mention, it reminds me how close we are getting into the Christmas period! So here is my go-to winter outfit for you to enjoy and get inspiration from.

I style this khaki hoodie jumper with a thick warm denim jacket from Urban Outfitters, one of my favourite retailers to browse through! It's perfect for wacking on when you're in a rush to follow through some errands and don't have enough time to rummage through your wardrobe for something in particular.

Also, can we just talk about black skinny jeans? I used purchase my black jeans from Primark but have now upgraded to New Look (I know, I am moving UP!). Black jeans are a obvious staple for all year round and they go with absolutely ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! The ones from New Look are a lot tighter than the usual ones I purchase from Primark and fit a lot better.

As much as you can wear black jeans all year round, I can't say the same for footwear! I have found these lovely pair of Chelsea boots from Clarks that are so suitable to pop on and so appropriate for the autumn/winter season, I also love this autumnal look with the black jeans and is definitely a favourite of mine right now.

The Body Shop’s Tea Tree range is one of the longest standing blemish fighting skincare ranges in existence. I had the face wash and oil when I was 12/13 and so had countless others before me and countless others after. So let’s welcome some new additions to this timeless family.

All the Tea Tree oil in the range is Community Fair Trade from The Kenya Organic Oil Farmers Association (KOOFA), a co-operative of over 550 small-scale organic farmers near Mount Kenya National Park. Not only are you doing good for your skin, but giving back to the people who helped!

Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser
This has got to be my favourite product in the Tea Tree range that I have tried so far! The foaming cleanser is purifying with Tea Tree and is suitable for blemished skin, which is great for everyone!

From the name, you can easily understand that this is a  foaming cleanser. (Foaming cleanser is a type of cleanser where the actual product is a runny water-like liquid, but comes as a foam when nozzle is pressed.)  I used a pump and a half to wash(or cleanse in this case), my entire face and neck. I first take the foam place it over the effected area for about 20-30seconds. You might find a slight tingling sensation, which is obvious due to the action of tea tree oil, on the area. Then, slightly massage and wash it off with water. It removes all the dirt, when left might cause pore clogging, which in turn result in breakouts.
This is a good option for normal to oily skin types. But, for dry skin types, this might be slightly drying. (My skin is pretty normal. So, I didn’t have this problem). So, people with dry skin must ensure that they follow up a good moisturiser after cleansing.

This does have smell, but the smell isn’t overpowering . I’m fond of the smell, cause I have already tried a couple of other products from this range. The smell isn’t sweet. Its a bit of sour-y type of smell. I felt that its smell is kind of the freshly crushed leaves.(I am bad at describing the smell. So, Please excuse me for that!).

Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner
Mirroring with the review above, this product has to be the my least favourite of the items I purchased in the Tea Tree range at The Body Shop! I loved it the first time I used it but as I used it a few times, I noticed that it was leaving my skin very dry and quite sore, if I'm honest!

It lists alcohol as the second ingredient and also contains a host of other problematic ingredients that won’t improve matters for blemish-prone skin. Alcohol in this amount causes dryness, free-radical damage, and irritation that can stimulate more oil production at the base of your pores. The anti-irritants this contains won’t be of much help due to the irritating ingredients that dull their impact. From experience with this product myself, it works for me if I only use it very rarely because over-use of this product leaves my skin feeling very sore and dry, especially on my t-zone.

Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion
When our skin is dry, we’re tempted to reach for a super-thick lotion and hope our pores don’t get clogged. That’s all about to change. This lotion is lightweight, non-greasy, and enhanced with Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya, which sinks into the skin to provide hydration, oil control, and blemish prevention. So slather it on without thinking twice—and say goodbye to parched skin - this product is lovely on the skin and you can hardly feel it after application, it leaves your skin feeling flawless after first use! The only down fall that I have with this product is the size of the contents because the bottle is very small compared to the other items in the range.. However, saying that - a small bit goes a VERY long way!

Recently I discovered a brand called Henry J Socks who sell premium products to the people that love that extra comfort feeling! They had kindly sent me a pair to try and I instantly fell in love with them!
Henry J socks creates bold and beautiful socks, with quality knitting as well as first-rate boxers. They offer a monthly subscription service that delivers head-turner socks and boxers, directly to your door. All socks and boxers are hand picked just for their subscribers. I got kindly sent a semi-formal pair which were blue with green detail (photograph above) and I can't be any happier! The individual pairs are 7.50 while an individual sock is priced at £3.75. There are a variety of options on their website but they start at £5.99 a month for a free-month subscription with no postage or packaging (could you ask for any more?! I know, it's brilliant!)

Stuck for gifts for dad or boyfriend? Gift subscriptions are also available, if you're thinking about Christmas gifts which I think is a lovely idea because often socks feel as such a chore to wear.. y'know, we all have to wear them and they are a part of everyone's morning routine, so why not make it the best you can? I'm sure any man in your life would appreciate these socks (especially with Henry J Socks new swanky packaging that makes them perfect for gifts!)
Also, I don't know about you guys but I often find myself stealing socks from everyone in my household but since signing up to this amazing service.. I NEVER run out!
