THE COATS YOU NEED THIS WINTER

*Disclaimer: this post contains affiliate links.
I've been wanting to write a post like this for a while but found it quite hard when putting pen to paper to get the message I intended to come across, so let's give it another go! I've read a load of posts on this and it has given me such inspiration to write my very own. I just want to start by saying that I was totally oblivious when I started blogging when it came to making money through it, neither did I know anything about PR or PR gifting. I love blogging and I always have done, if I didn't then I wouldn't do it and it's honestly as simple as that. I started it because I have a genuine passion for many things and I wanted somewhere to share it.. I never expected anyone to read it at all.

Accepting sponsored work is always something that is regularly rumoured or questioned about to people outside the industry and I'd like to say that I actually turn down more sponsored work than I accept and I will only ever write about things that I genuinely love or would use myself. Anyone who knows me personally knows exactly what I like and knows what I don't like! However, I always love hearing from brands as it lets me discover new ones that aren't so loud than others. I am so very grateful that my genuine trait has never been questioned but I also think it's so wrong when people's genuineness is put in the firing line. Although it's never happened to me, I've saw so many tweets claiming people don't like the brands they are being paid to write for? That's ridiculous. I can write a full post about a brand that I genuinely love and be paid but equally I can write a full post about a brand I genuinely love and not be paid - does it matter? No. I'm such an honest person and I can speak for myself and the lovely bloggers I know when I say this: I will never write about a product or service that I wouldn't genuinely use myself. I give 110% when it comes to my blog and I work for hours everyday doing it.

I think it's amazing that brands contact bloggers like myself with opportunities and I think it's something to be celebrated! Even when it's a brand I've never heard of myself, it's amazing that they trust myself/other bloggers to be the first to give it a go and the first ones to be talking about it. I'm going to be honest, it's so obvious when someone is 'in it for the money' but I can tell you hand on heart, not me! Bloggers and other people in the industry work very hard to get where they are - why're we going to waste our time talking about something we don't like? Ask yourselves that. No matter what you see on Twitter or what you think, I just want you to know that you will only ever get genuine content from myself all over my channels, not just my blog. Thank you for always being so loyal and lovely!

Finally, I just want to say thank you a hell of a bunch for your continuous support. I'm so grateful. Thank you so much.

Hello! It's that time again where we all have that one person that we always struggle to buy for (not for any longer!) here's a list of gifts that are perfect for any man in your life - there's something perfect for everyone weather they're a smell-a-holic or a trainer geek. I created this post to lift that weight off your shoulders of making that special one's Christmas special.

Buying gifts at Christmas can either be a stressful or an enjoyable experience and it can go either way. I actually hate it and find myself really stressing over what a person is actually going to like and use but once it's over I'm so happy and then it's time to wrap them up.. which is a whole different story! Turning the table though, I actually hate opening presents in front of the person that's gifted it to me because I get so embarrassed *curls up into a ball* (I have no idea why but I have always been like this) Anyway, I hope you find this post helpful! If you like anything that is listed below then click on it and you will be sent to a direct link where you can purchase it.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
This is a product that I saw lots and lots of people raving about and I gave in, I have to admit. I'd heard lots of bloggers talking about the amazing results from using products by this brand and I had to try it out for myself and I was so amazed. I have trouble with dry patches especially in my t-zone and this has worked wonders. If you're looking for a new product to give your face a bit of moisture then this could be the product for you. I have tried so many products that are very similar to this but this has honestly given me the best results and after only using for a few times, it is already one of my holy grails and I've fallen in love.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
I could rave about this second product all day bloody long! This product has been such a life saver for me and I have become slightly addicted to using it for pretty much everything as it is a all-round multi purpose product and does so much for the price you pay for it. I have used this on chapped lips, dry skin and it works wonders as a hand cream. Like I said previously, for the price you pay for this it is amazing and does so much.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion
The Body Shop has became a brand that I immediately become obsessed with the second I used one of their little tiny hand creams and I've never looked back since. I brought their Mattifying Lotion along with the Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser and their Skin Clearing Toner and I remember it came in a little cute set and I instantly added it into my skincare routine and that's all I used for a good few months, but with any skincare I think it's really important to switch it up every now and then I believe your skin gets used to products and they become less effective but I recommend The Body Shop as a brand and I've been amazed by every product I've used by them.

Nivea Men Creme
It's back again (LOL!) I did a a whole post on the Nivea Men Creme titled 'The Best Mens Moisturiser' and I can officially say that it still lives up to that in my mind. I have never used a product like this and I can not see it failing me anytime soon. This product definitely had to be in this post because of how much it's done for my skin from clearing it up to making it feeling super soft and moisturised. If you want to know in depth of why I love this product so much then check out my post dedicated to this beautiful creation which is linked here.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Smoother
We're back again talking about The Body Shop but I don't think I need to go in to how much I love them again. I use this product every night before bed, mainly around my eyes to reduce dark circles and can I get an amen? It has just done that. About 6 months ago, I went through a phase of feeling really drained constantly and it showed and I hated it but since using this product they have improved so much to barely nothing and I'm so impressed with it. If you're someone like me that likes fizzy drinks way too much and doesn't drink enough water then you need to try this.

I've been thinking for a while how much I actually love dressing for Autumn and Winter, so much so that I couldn't wait to share this favourite of mine with you today! It's literally been what I've been throwing on as a complete Winter look. As you may know, my wishlist is very long and this post is full of items that I decided to finally take the splurge and buy!

There are certain dupes of items that I have decided to go for as for me, I've always preferred to spread my cost across a whole outfit, rather than just a few designer items. However, my designer wishlist is never ending, nevertheless.

Shop my favourite scarves below:

I always think it's quite tricky with Autumn and Winter to indulge into certain designer 'seasonal' items as it will be folded away for a lot of the year, take scarves for example.. you can't wear a scarf in summer, can you? For me, this is the outfit of dreams for a misty cold Autumn day! All products are linked below

8 BLOGS YOU NEED TO BE READING

Wow. I've just woke up and did my usual social media checks before starting the day properly and finally getting out of bed and I've hit 200,000 views. I'm actually slightly lost for words. I cannot describe how thankful I am. I'm so thankful for you all and also for all of the opportunities I've had and the people I've met through this little blog that I created in my room one day when I was bored.

When starting my blog in 2014, I didn't even think about hitting 100 views and when I eventually did, I was gobsmacked.. So you can probably imagine how overwhelmed I'm feeling right now. It's strange because before creating my blogger profile to start my blog, I use to watch a lot of Youtube videos about certain people hitting milestones and I use to think how crazy it is and now it's happening to me. Every milestone that my blog has, I think that it's going to stop there but it never does and it's carried on growing and growing and that is slightly scary (not gonna lie!) but I'm also excited.

This post is probably going to be really short but I just want to say thank you, thank you for reading my blog because it honestly makes me so happy. I love having this little space where nobody can set the boundaries for me and I set my own rules and write about exactly what I want to write about. That is an amazing feeling for me.

I can't say it enough but thank you! Thanks for all the continuous support. I love every single one of you.

TOP AUTUMN & WINTER SALE PICKS

From time to time, I think it's really important to remind ourselves what's really important in our lives because with apps like Instagram and other social media platforms, we are constantly surrounded by popularised individuals online and that can be daunting for maybe many of you reading this. We are suffocated by this 'perfect' life that is inflicted on everyone online.

The 'perfect' life consists of lots of money, a big house, a successful career and lots of gold, but what do we have? I'm going to be straight with you here by saying that I am so guilty of this myself but it's OK to look up to these people because you as in yourself want to be successful but don't get overwhelmed and envy of what other people have because that just gets you no where and you gain nothing. You should never be comparing your life to somebody else's life as there is always somebody who has something that you don't have but equally you will have something that somebody else doesn't have. It's just the way life works and something that us humans have to agree to.
The point I wanted to make in this post was that it's okay to have inspiration and to have somebody you look up to that you find interesting and you would love to be in their position one day but always remember where your home is and where you got brought up and never get caught up with the things you see certain people owning online because it's not real life. Take a step back to appreciate everything you have because I can guarantee that somebody has it so much harder. We all have down moments (even Beyonce!) and it's important to remember that it's normal and real life. It's refreshing to remember that the celebrities in the press seem like they have the perfect life because they have lots of money and they're always smiling but not everything is publicised and just because somebody has 'fame' doesn't mean that they don't get sad and EVERYONE in this world has bad days and you only ever see bits of somebody's life that they want you to see, not the bits that they don't want you to see.

Appreciate your family and tell them you love them because it's always nice to remind them that behind dark clouds, there's a sunshine and everything gets better. It's normal to have bad days.

Hello! It's been a while that we've had a chat hasn't it? I've been looking forward to writing this post as I haven't spoken to you all in a while and I feel like I've lost touch with my audience and that makes me sad, to be honest. I wanted to do this because I feel as some of you may have noticed that my schedule has been a bit all over the place lately and I wanna update you all about what's been going on! I also desperately want to get back on track with blogging and content creating. I was involved with something outside of blogging a few months ago that took up a lot of my time and I just haven't been able to get back into a solid routine that I had before (which sucks but it's going to change)

I want to talk about something which has took a toll on me recently, I don't want to go in depth about it because it's very personal to me and my family but sometimes unexpected things happen and you have to take time out in order to find yourself again and that's exactly what I've been doing these last couple of weeks. I've been coming to terms with changes within my family life which I never thought would actually happen. I just want you to know that taking a break from things can give yourself time to adjust and we all need to take a break now and again (and that is perfectly okay)

Also recently, I have been CONSTANTLY tired to a point where I do something as little as clean my bathroom and I'm literally dragging myself to bed straight afterwards because it's took all my energy, I'm in the process of making a doctors appointment to try and see what the problem is so I can sort that out because it's not even as if I don't sleep because recently that's all I have been doing, which just makes me feel like absolute shit so I definitely want to sort that out as soon as possible (as I know too much sleep isn't good either but I just haven't been able to stop myself aha!)

This was a very quick post just to keep you all in the loop and let you know that I am here and haven't abandoned my blog and I'm still very much alive n well! Blogging is something that I enjoy so much and I never want to put it to the back of my mind and I haven't to be honest, it's been getting me down and all I've thought about (when I haven't been sleeping that is!) but I never want any of you to think that I have discarded it because it's something I love so much and also something I work so hard on!

There will be a new post Sunday! And remember that none of us have been trained to expect the unexpected and sometimes things get to much and that's okay, we're human. It's OK to take time out for yourself. Head space is so important

I recently had the opportunity to host my very own chat over on Twitter where I spoke with other bloggers about working and approaching brands. This was a great chance for me to bring bloggers together to share their own tips and tricks! Something that came to my attention during the chat was how so many bloggers aren't familiar with media kits or some didn't know what one was. I'm in no way a expert on blogging but I've picked up some things along the way that I really would love to share with you all.

Some of you may be sitting and reading this being so confused, so let's start from the top! A media kit is basically a document with everything a brand needs to know about you or your blog before considering a collaboration. I've been asked quite a lot in the past 'how do you make yourself noticed to brands?' and one of my biggest tips is definitely a media kit. I think every blogger should definitely have one, it's an essential for me. The website I use to make mine is called Canva and this is purely down to the fact that I've heard it's the easiest platform (I'll be honest aha!) and it's great as you can go back and edit your media kit as you choose to! This is very useful as you're going to need to update your stats each month. A media kit is essentially a huge way that you sell yourself to a brand. So if you've gained 1,000 views one month then it's important that the brand knows this information.

A media kit helps you stand out from the crowd so don't be scared to feel pushy or sound 'big-headed'. Remember that brands get hundreds of e-mails daily from bloggers, so you're going to want to make yourself stand out from the rest.

You need to give all the vital information about yourself as well - so make sure you include your name and blog name. Brands also like to put a face to a name! Are you a lifestyle, beauty or fashion blogger? This is also so important to include as they're going to want to know if their brand actually fits your content and targeted audience. Why should a brand work with you? What do readers expect when they visit your blog? I think you'd be so shocked at the amount of bloggers that don't even include their contact details on their blog which is crazy to me - it needs to stand out and be as clear as possible! Same goes for Twitter bio's and Instagram business accounts. When it comes to media kits, make sure all your social media pages are listed WITH stats. You could even add your DA score which you can check using the site here. It's good to include your monthly blog views too.

I've also included some of the previous brands I've worked with because I personally think this shows you know what you're doing and other established brands have obviously trusted you in the past to work with you and this also shows you're experienced which is obviously important to brands as they're going to want to be working with someone who is reliable. Collaboration options is a must for me! For example, giveaways with a brand, sponsored posts, product reviews or social media posts! You need to declare in your media kit what type of collaboration you're willing to do because not everyone will be doing all.

And finally.. Show off your photos! This is your chance to show the brand what you can do. Grab some of your favourites and spread them out across your media kit. This can be anything from product photos to outfit of the days!

Hello, how're you? I expressed in my last post how excited I am for this time of year. This time of year also just to makes me want to waffle on about the fashion that the Autumn/Winter months bring, so here we are again talking about winter.

As I briefly mentioned in my previous post how insanely obsessed I get with this time of year, I've also discovered my love for comfy knitted-wear.

As soon as Autumn hit, I couldn't wait to browse the web and order myself some! As far as seasons go, Autumn and Winter scream comfort for me and that's where Lyst comes in as they make it so easy for you to find the pieces you're looking for: Lyst which is a global fashion search engine that connects you with the world's biggest inventory of luxury fashion items in one place, helping you find the right item, in the right size, at the right place and it has changed. My. Life. It's often a struggle for me to know what site to browse through when online shopping or who has the best sale on at the moment? Lyst changes that dilemma for me as it gives me everything I need in one place.

This post is inspired by Lyst but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you x

So I'm back, hello! I've been super busy with other things I'm involved with away from my 'online shit' and my blog has took such a back-burner in my life lately but I'm so happy to be back. Honestly, how is it September already? If I'm honest, I've been waiting for this time of year as it's one of my favourites and Halloween isn't too far away so I'm feeling very content. As I'm writing this, it's currently 01:17am on the 8th September (my birthday woop) and I always take birthdays as a good time to reflect  on everything that's happened between my last birthday and today.

So I thought it would be a good idea to list and talk through some of my goals that I'd like to achevie whilst fading into my early 20's. Here we go

1. On a serious note, I want to be way more productive. This sounds major broad and vague. A lot of people say that you shouldn't even make goals or aims but it's exactly the way I get stuff done for myself. Regularly suffocating myself in my bedroom on days where I plan to do blogging and admin has proven not to be the most successful, you'd be surprised how your environment can effect your work so much. The days where I use to take myself to a coffee shop and get everything I needed to get done are the days I miss and majorly need to get back. I'm making huge progress when it comes to sorting out my sleep schedule and pattern and by Christmas I want to be in a strong mind sense.

2. I desperately want to stop worrying about my future. I constantly put pressure on myself for a successful year which it's proven to be quite challenging which I may talk about in the future. I want to breakthrough the unrealistic expectations and goals that I drill into my mind because that's so unhealthy for anyone, especially when it gets you down because everyone's life moves at it's own pace and we should definitely be embracing every step we succeed in and not just the end product; essentially where we want to be.

3. On the brighter side, I want to experience new places which will hopefully will encourage me to grab my camera out a lot more to help my desire to fill my blog with images that make me happy and capture more of my life.

That concludes everything for now and I hope you enjoyed this chilled post! I'm honestly so happy to be back.

With any exciting event, it's always a great excuse to hit the shops! I'm not really a festival 'go-er' myself but these are the items that I've stumbled upon and fell in love with - I hope you like them just as much as I do!

I have endlessly ranted about my hate for Summer enough on this platform (so we don't need to go into that!) but when the Summer months actually do come along it makes me feel slightly better knowing that I'm organised and prepared, so I've put together a few factors that are essential to me in the sweaty months (ew)

1. The first (and most important thing in my opinion) obviously consists of food! Badger beer have created the 'ultimate BBQ shed' created for lucky Badger fans! Badger Ales have been brewed in the heart of the Dorset countryside since 1777 by independent brewers Hall and Woodhouse. They brew a range of quality beers for people like us to enjoy! It's to highlight the hard work and care they put into making good quality beer for us all to enjoy! The beer shed features a state of the art BBQ and it's been designed like a penknife so that the shed opens up and transforms into a space for the ideal barbecue experience and it folds up afterwards so it looks just like a normal garden shed (little do they know, ey?!)

2. This second one is something I'm also a massive fan about and actually had no idea that there was such a thing like it until I discovered in on the shelves at Superdrug! Evian water spray... For your face?! G E N I U S. Honestly this product has changed my life and it has been a massive holy grail ever since.

3. FANS. One of the biggest things that I cannot stand about Summer is when you're tired and all you want is a good nights sleep and you can't! I'm one of these people who like their beds to be cold, it's literally the only way I can sleep comfortably. Who wants to be sleeping in 30 degree heat?!

4. Drinking plenty of water is something that I never EVER use to take into consideration but I'm so good with it now and I've actually kind of grown to like it?! Which I would never thought I'd say to be honest. It's so important as you get so much more dehydrated in the heart, so always make sure you pop a bottle of water in your bag! You will thank your previous self.

5. All hay fever sufferers listen up! This definitely has to be on the list. I don't know what I'd do without them quite frankly. Hay fever sucks and it gets so in the way of me actually trying to enjoy the weather. I've been using the Optrex eye drops recently a long with my tablets (review coming soon woooo) and it's such a great combination and helped me so much not to worry about the dreaded hay fever symptoms!

When I saw a jacket like this on the rails in a small vintage shop in Birmingham, I immediately had fallen in love with it and little did I know that it would also be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Even I was pleasantly surprised how easy it has been to collaborate with my existing items!

WEDNESDAY PLAYLIST | FAVOURITE CLASSICS

I'm especially excited about sharing this playlist with you because old classics have been exciting my life lately. I really want to do move of these playlist posts as they are so much fun to put together and it also enables me to discover some of my favourites that I had totally forgotten about!

The Body Shop is a brand that I've always trusted. I've used many different products from themselves and it's grown to be a brand that I've always been pulled towards when looking at trying new skincare items because I know they work! I've been so impressed by them that I wanted to share some of my favourites with you today!

Let's talk through a few of my favourites!

Before I tried this product, I had always wanted to try a face mask and had my heart on one that you can peel off! But after trying The Body Shops' Himalayan Charcoal Mask, I didn't want any other one because it is amazing and does everything you want a face mask to do. This is definitely a step to add to your pamper routine. I've always found the idea of deep cleaning and cleaning out clogged up pores quite satisfying and this definitely does what it says on the tin! I remember how soft and clean my face felt after one use - definitely a long-life favourite of mine!

I was quite unsure when trying this product as first for two main reasons, if you're a guy like me that has always sworn by the classic Nivea spray-on deodorant then trying something new can always be quite daunting but I was super impressed straight away! The scent and feel of this product is so refreshing and comfortable to wear and really works. The only thing that I'd love is that if this product was in spray-on form, purely just for the fact that it's just a personal preference of mine and is something that I've always been use to but apart from this, I've been using this product since the day I got it and it's grown on me massively!

I've always carried several shopping bags under my eyes and I know I'm not the only one! Since using the Skin Reviver Instant Smoother, I have noticed such a big difference with my uner eyes that I'm so excited to carry on using this product to see more of an amazing change. This is definitely a product that is suited for everyone!

HOLY GRAIL. I Could rant about the Hard-Working Hand Protector for hours. This was the first ever product that I purchased from The Body Shop and I fell in love with their brand ever since! It has been an essential for me from the first time I used it. If you're someone like me that can't stand having dirty or sweaty hands then this is certainly one for you! So handy to throw in your bag and use on the go as they do a smaller version perfect for your bag

When you're having a bad day, I always find it's so therapeutic to take a moment to think about the good things that your life brings you currently or has brought you in the past. I've been having a difficult time lately which I may go into at a later date but for now I'd prefer not to. People in this world are starving and are in horrible circumstances and sometimes it's good to feel lucky to be in the position that we are all in because let's face it, we do take things for granted on a daily basis - things like being able to get into a bed at night, go to a school, drink and cleanse in clean water. Thinking about this has opened my eyes to life outside my own life and life for so many people. Let's be happy for our lives because I feel extremely lucky for mine and when things seem tough and seem like they couldn't get any worse, we need to remind ourselves that they could be so much worse.

1. Clean water for me is definitely something I am so thankful for. I touched upon this in the introduction to this post. However, this is something that I take for granted because having a bath is one of my favourite things to do, followed with a hot brew!

2. The ability to walk strikes to amaze me when I put it into perspective because it's something I don't even think about but also something that so many people in this world are dreaming to do and that makes me so sad

3. Going home to my warm house! Some people are unfortunately not in the posision where they can go home to a bedroom with a properly stabilised bed and full time electricity.

4. My parents are the best. I'm now 19 and I have never been so happy and honoured for how my parents have raised and looked after me. This is a big one for me because it's hard to put into words how lucky I am to have such amazing parents, they have done everything and anything for me if I've needed it. It's easy to argue and say mean things that we obviously don't mean and it's normal whilst going through your teenage years to get frustrated at your parents (believe me, i know!) when they don't let you stop at a friends house or go to that amazing party that everyone's invived to but you understand once you're older, I promise you that they have your best interest

5. My friends are also the best. I'm so happy to have the friends I have and I'm so happy to be surrounded by the people I am. I'm proud to say that I have a strong friendship group and I'm also proud to say that every single friendship I have right now is for life.

6. I'd be lying if I didn't say that Money is also a huge one for me because it is. I'm never been afraid to say that money brings me happiness and also drives me. It's given me amazing opportunities and I'm happy to have it but also I'm so grateful of money and I respect the money I have

7. My blog is something I have built and I have created and I run. It's mine and I'm incredibly proud of myself for one, keeping to it and two, for how much it's grown because I didn't think I'd be in the position I am right now with my blog in FOREVER, it's surreal

8. My health and doctors are everything to me and my family. I'm so happy with everyone that I've put trust in with my health. I have had quite a few surgeries and procedures in my life time and if I had been born thousands and hundreds of years ago then that care unfortunately wouldn't be accessible to me and I'm so grateful for the care I've had

FEELING LUCKY & 8 THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR

This product was kindly sent to me for product review but as always all opinions are my own.

I've been dying to try out a teeth whitening kit for absolutely ages, so when the team behind Instant Whites contacted me, I was so excited! What I really love about Instant Whites is that it's so easy to use, you can't go wrong. It's essentially juice that you pop on your teeth to make them look fresher, cleaner and of course, whiter (you can even see a difference after one application)! What I've found unique about this brand compared to others that I've heard of is that there is no risk with leaving it on for too long as all you do is rub it on, and then you're good to go! Also, this product is made AND used by dentists for a variety of cosmetic dental procedures including dental prep cleaning!

When you open your pack, you will see 7 liquid filled swabs which you use once a day - they're really good because you can either use them to target individual teeth OR your fell set! You will also find all of the ingredients listed on the back of the pack which states everything that is used within the application. The liquid swabs are neatly housed in a case of seven and are simply activated by gradually pulling down the top part of the applicator into the bottom that is filled with the liquid. I've found I had the best results by scrubbing your teeth in a circular motion each time you use it!

This was my first time using a teeth whitening course and I have the most sensitive teeth EVER.. so, I was slightly worried that it would hurt in a way but after using Instant Whites, I feel so much more confident as it was honestly so enjoyable and I'd definitely be doing the course again and looking at other amazing products that they offer!

TESTING OUT INSTANT WHITES | AD

This product was kindly sent to me for product review but as always all opinions are my own.

I've been dying to try out a teeth whitening kit for absolutely ages, so when the team behind Instant Whites contacted me, I was so excited! What I really love about Instant Whites is that it's so easy to use, you can't go wrong. It's essentially juice that you pop on your teeth to make them look fresher, cleaner and of course, whiter (you can even see a difference after one application)! For me as someone who dreads the hot months, the perfect and ideal outfit is something as cool AS POSSIBLE and I'm not even over-exaggerating when I say this but I love being cool and I can't think of anything worse than where you literally can't get yourself away from the heat.. I feel suffocated! So if you're like me then we've got to make the most of shorts and thin tees! I've put this outfit together for the small minority that love being cold!
White t-shirts are key all year round because they go with everything! I picked up this one from Urban Outfitters a few months ago and I've fallen in love with it. I think it's so easy to fall in love with a specific season when it comes to fashion, so white t-shirts are perfect because you can wear them with any season, so they definitely get used.
You may be thinking, black?! In Summer? Yes I know, CRAZY but I found these pair of shorts at Primark and they're so thin and comfy to wear.. They're perfect for throwing on.
Shoes are shoes at the end of the day and as long as you're not wearing wellington boots then you can't really go wrong in Summer, just choose something that you're super comfy in because you're going to want to feel comfy when you're 'bunged' up in Piriton and your eyes won't stop itching!

SNIPPETS OF MY BEDROOM

The first thing that I want to say is that I try and be as raw and honest as I possibly can online. I think about this a lot but there are so many young and impressionable young people that see an image online and believe it. I just want to put a message out there that not everything you see online is how it exactly looks.

When you look at your phone, a chemical called Dopamine is released and gives you a very addictive and happy feeling - when you see someone has liked your Instagram post, you get that sense of popularity, acceptance and validation and I feel like in this day, we are all very consumed by what others think of us. In this generation, if a child came last in a race then they would get an award along with the actual winner to make it 'fair' but I don't think that is teaching anyone what the real world is like at all.

Growing up on social media kind of brainwashes you in a way to become a very anti-social person and I can admit that I do this myself, and I said to my friend the other week, I went to my friends and we were all just sitting on our phones and not even talking and it's so weird when you put it into perspective but it's become such normal behaviour. Another example is when you walk into a restaurant and they'll be different families at each table but I'd say a strong 60% will be sat with their heads down looking at their phones and it's almost like, what's the point?

I think it's fair to say that as a generation, we are so used to making friends and talking to people online, so when it happens in real life, we almost don't know what to do. Social anxiety is becoming such a common factor these days because people don't know how to connect with other human beings in real life and I think this is partly down to the fact that we have so much control over how we portray ourselves online, for example you can edit your photos, you can filter your photos and you can delete an Instagram or a tweet whenever you want but everything we say in real life is irreversible and I think that worries people. Social media is a cut version of our lives and we can choose what we share with people. There is no backspace or edit button in real life. A big part of my life is obviously my blog, my 'business' but some people don't even know where the 'off' button is when it comes to their phone. By the way, everything I'm talking about, I am also soooo guilty of but I've been thinking about this stuff a lot lately and it's really opened my eyes.

Social media can also be so toxic to our self worth when it comes to comparison. Think about the times that you have looked at someone's Instagram and questioned yourself on how they have such a perfect life and I honestly find this so sad that it's come to that. It's so sad that we can't just accept us, for us. We have such low self esteem as a generation and we have grew up surrounded by what the media has portrayed as 'perfect people' and the 'perfect life' because we've grew up with magazines, televisions and social media. But social media for me, is even worse because it's a real person that you're comparing yourself to and I do this myself, I look at other bloggers and see them doing so well and I'm unbelievably happy for them but it does make you question things and it does make you think but that has become so natural and normal for us humans.

I could be in the most terrible most but I will get dressed just to take an Instagram and then get back in my pyjamas? And that's just so wrong (LOL). Nobody is going to post a picture or a part of their life that they don't like or they're not happy with but then they might wake up the next day and share how healthy their breakfast is.

Everything is just so instant now-a-days, even dating?! People moan that nobody takes anyone out for dates anymore but that's because all it takes is a right swipe on Tinder and they've got you, there's no chase. We've all become very instant and very inpatient, if we want something, we want it NOW, we want replies NOW, we want it NOW. So when people take longer to reply (I'm super guilty of this myself, I might not reply for hours and this could make someone think all kinds of things like, Eddie doesn't like me, Eddie finds me annoying etc. And it's not any of that, I'm just busy and people are busy)

I really wish and want the social media world to become way more raw and honest.. I'm definitely going to be! I know the fitness side have started to be more honest with their audience, for example showing pictures of them being bloated because their audiences will look at that and think "I'm like that too" and feel as they can relate instead of comparing themselves and that's so nice.

There are so many different types of people in OUR generation. The message I wanted to share is that what you see someone post on social media is what they CHOOSE to post and it's not 100% them. None of us see every minute of someones life, so we don't know how unhappy someone actually could be, we don't know if they fight every second of the day with their boyfriend/husband! Nobody knows what happens after a photo is taken or after a video is cut and that's very important to remember.

I'm going to talk about something today that a lot of bloggers have at some point in their blogging years I'd say I've been going through mine these few weeks - although I've still been posting every week, I've found it hard to get new/original ideas and it worried me when questioning myself, If I'd never back into my blogging 'mojo' again. I recently reached 100,000 views on here, which can I just say is INSANE! I'm honestly so so so grateful and also gobsmacked that 100,000 people in this world have visited my little blog, I cannot thank you enough! But anyways, it's given me so much motivation to keep working hard and I know it's not all about views and I agree, it's not.. But it makes me feel so happy that so many of you are enjoying my content because never in ONE MILLION YEARS would I have imagined that it would of gone this far, like I always thought this would never happen to me!

Here are a few tips on getting back on track with blogging!

1. Promote yourself - this is number one for a reason and that's because I think people are often scared to share their online spaces with people that they know in the real world because judgement is such an unexpected thing and often you don't know how people are going to react but sharing your work and what you love to do with people, can make such a huge difference because you're sharing what you love to do with the world - don't hide it away!

2. Get inspiration - we all have people we look up to you and yes, it's not good to compare but sometimes I think it actually is.. Because if you can see that your favourite blogger/celebrity is working hard and is in a great position that you'd like to be in one day, then this can strive you to work hard and carry on! Anything is possible, if you work hard (remember that!)

3. Don't force a post - everybody has those days where we're in a world of our own.. We're humans, we're allowed to be! Let yourself have days off and always remember that you aren't MADE to put a post up. Make sure you're happy with everything you publish online and if not.. Delete it! This is your space, make it how YOU want it to be. You don't need to keep up anything that you're not happy with :)

4. Blogging shouldn't be competitive - this is kind of going against my second point, but all these points can be relevant to different people in different ways. Don't look at someone's view count and envy what they have.. Be happy for them! Just like you'd like someone to be happy for you, if you reached an amazing milestone or if you're working with an amazing brand - I did a 'rant' all things blogging, check it out > here! <

5. Schedule - if you're anything like me then being organised is key! I find that the Calendar app has became my best friend, especially when it comes to planning posts. Input your meetings in, make sure you know what you're doing on each day because if you do this then you kind of mentally get prepared for what's coming up in your daily agenda.
