Summer is a tricky one for me, however there's something about candid summer outfit shots that makes my eyes very happy. My Summer wardrobe has been having a bit of a mare (it's fair to say). I'm happy with how it's turned out. And you know what, there is one piece of inspiration in particular which I've been obsessed with since I've purchased them - cropped trousers. My life all of a sudden seems to be put together.
After feeling tired, bored and uninspired of constantly wearing the same Topshop jeans (and also buying them!) I started becoming quite desperate for something else and to be honest, I didn't expect to find much at all until I discovered these cropped trousers from Topman (yes, Topman!) I'm gonna be honest, my local Topman isn't the best and I normally find myself travelling to a better one to find anything I remotely like.

Let's be real, I'm not a fan of Summer and as far as I can remember.. I never have been. Last year I was firmly hiding myself away from the pollinated outdoors, purchasing Piriton every other day and wishing it would all just go away and let me breathe normally. This year, however, I've decided to embrace the weather that everybody seems to wish for when it's not here and hate it when it actually is here. I'm making friends with pollen, it seems.
So in light of my new attitude, whether you hate Summer or love Summer, or like me last year, you're trying your best not to scratch your throat off, I've put together an outfit that is going to put me on top this Summer.

MY CURRENT OBSESSION: CROPPED TROUSERS

THE SUMMER ESSENTIALS YOU NEED UNDER £25

Before I started blogging, one of the most amazing concepts that I instantly fell in love with was how people are influenced by the people that they look up to online - the clothes their wearing, the moisturiser their using and the programmes their watching. When I post a link on my blog, I can see straight away how many people have clicked on the link and who has brought the product and this blows my mind. I never in a million years would of even dreamed that people would listen to my advice and it is such an amazing feeling (sometimes slightly overwhelming!)

The Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is one product that I saw lots of my favourite 'online people' using and I knew I had to grab it as soon as I could and I am so happy I have as I have never looked back. If you're anything like me, you was living under a huge rock and had no clue what this product was until your favourite blogger mentioned it in one of their posts then hey, I'm here to help! It has endless uses. From soothing sun burn, healing cuts and bruises and caring for dry and damaged skin.. it has came quite obvious to me that this product does it all.

Over the past 6 months of experimenting it's different uses I've found my favourite - a night mask. When my skin is feeling dull or run down, I'm breaking out or just being quite dehydrated, I've found that wearing a layer of eight hour cream overnight does wonders for my skin and complextion and when I wake up in the morning I don't only feel refreshed but I look so much more healthier too! After waking up in the morning, any redress around my cheeks have reduced, my beds under my eyes are much brighter and my skin feels so much more happier.

My basic instructions of applying the cream is to squeeze out a small amount onto my hand (picture below). I then warm the cream up by rubbing it between my finger tips before applying a layer to my face. It does take around 10-15 minutes to soak into your skin but give it chance.. it works (I promise)
I can't write a post about this product without mentioning that their are two types, fragrance and fragrance free. A lot of people seem to have issues with the fragrance version so test both and see which ones for you! I prefer the fragrance free version as the scent of the fragrance one reminds me of the smell of hospitals (very strange I know)

I've loved using the Eight Hour Cream as a 'once a week' night mask and I'm looking forward to finding the other uses!

As I've got older I have really thought more about the gifts I get for someone, especially my parents because its special to them and it's also special to me that it brings them joy. I want to start first off my by saying how much of a split thought I have about days like this because why should you only gift something to your Dad because you're told to? He's your dad, he's brought you into the world and he has brought you up to be the person you are. But I also switch that because sometimes in our day to day lives we forget to appreciate what we have and that's not any fault of our own, it just happens - we're human.

So I have piled together a few things that would make the man that you look up to feel special! (usual disclaimer: I use affiliate links within this post and I will receive a percentage for sales made on my blog)

LAST MINUTE (AMAZING) GIFTS FOR YOUR DAD

Happy Monday to you all. I've decided to talk about something today that I've always admired talking about it because it relates to so many people. It's so heartbreaking to hear that 1.5 million young people have been bullied within the past year and 145,000 of them were bullied every day.

It opens my eyes up so much to actually how many people get bullied because i'll be honest when I say it shocked me so much. I open my self up to criticism without even realising it and that's sad to think that way but having this platform and all of my other social media platforms has made me a target to 'online trolls' that have probably said everything you could ever imagine and I've definitely grew stronger the more I've done this but when I first started getting it then obviously it did effect me to a certain extent because I never thought it would happen and it's stupid because all I'm doing is living my life and it's sad to think that people have so much time on their hands to pick a part my life. I know so other bloggers that have had the same thing happen to them and if you're a blogger yourself and it's happening to you then I want to reassure you that you're not alone and you should be telling someone and reporting it whenever possible whether it's a comment on one of your posts, an e-mail or even in person.

My first advice to anyone who feels as they have been bullied or targeted by someone is to tell someone. This can be literally anyone who you can trust. I think a lot of the time it's the fact that people don't want to tell their parents that they're being bullied because they don't want to upset them or feel embarrassed. But by telling your parents, they will be there for you and they will support you because that's what they're for. If you really don't want to tell your parents, I'd say tell a teacher because teachers have a duty of care and it's their job to sort out these kinds of things.

My second tip is not to feel embarrassed. I popped some statistics at the start of this post that shocked me but as much as this shouldn't happen, it shows that you're not alone. You're not the only one feeling like this and also it's not something that people haven't heard of before and they know how to help you.. Especially teachers because they have dealt with things like this for the whole of their career. They are trained and know how to give you the correct support. Be happy within yourself. This can be such a huge difference to how you feel and I don't mean in a big-headed way but it also doesn't hurt to know what you've got. You've got a lovely family around you, supportive friends and great hobbies that you enjoy. Why let these people get you down? They're not worth it, they live sad lives and they have way too much time on their hands. For me personally, this came with time and also I've now learned to be so happy with what I have in my own life that I'm not bothered about what people think of me at all.

My final tip is to keep yourself to yourself and only tell the people you know you can trust your deepest secrets. This was a huge problem in my school as rumours spreaded so easily (so fast as well!). It takes time to learn who your true friends are and you get mixed up with lots of different people but you do learn and you learn who you can tell things to and who you can't and just because you might get on with someone, doesn't mean you have to tell them your secrets because it's totally your choice. I have lots of friends but half of them don't know my secrets because there is just no need for them to know but I think that's something I've definitely learned as I've grown older.

And finally, if you're a bully yourself. I think that you need to focus on yourself and not what other people are doing. If you're unhappy with your own life then there are people who you can also talk to and get help with that. Don't make someone else feel bad just because you're not happy. Keep yourself to yourself and everyone will do the same. Before you write a comment on someones picture or open your mouth just think about how what you're saying is going to effect the people around you. You don't know what anyone is going through behind closed doors and that's really important to remember.
