Levelling up is a term that is being used a lot lately, but what is it? And it it something you should be concerned with? Well, the short answer is yes. Everybody should be concerned with levelling up at the certain stages of life (of course, it's normal!)

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being content with where you are and enjoying living in the moment. However, there are times when you'll want to expand your knowledge, up your game and design an even better plan for your future. This is where levelling up comes in. Levelling up essentially refers to getting ready for the next level of your life. You can't expect to enjoy better experiences and be given more opportunities if you're not physically or emotionally ready yet. While life will sometimes turn your world upside down and force you to chance, sometimes, it's up to you to do the changing and give the world the signal - you are READY.

With that in mind, let's talk about how you can level up this year!

1. Go Back To School - you don't have to physically get back in a classroom, but learning shouldn't stop once you've left school or graduated. If you haven't learnt anything new for a while, then it's definitely time to try. You can look into an online course, invest in an interesting book or even take another action to invest your learning and development. The more you know, the more you can improve your personal and professional life. You'll become more employable, or even get ideas to start your own business. Level up by staying in that growth mindset and refusing to stagnate. Get out of that comfort zone and you'll thank yourself for it!

2. Work On Your Own Personal Brand - Personal branding can be fantastic if you want to tart a business, or simply become a better candidate for a job role. You can work on your personal brand in a numerous of ways. Along with the above two pointers, you can work on your image. Invest in a great suit. If you can, look at a new car like a new Mercedes C10. Yes, it isn't all about image, although you have to have something going on under the hood!

3. Take Good Care of Your Mind and Body - this will leave you in a better position to learn, stay productive and live a happy, healthy life. The energy will see you through just about anything you try to do on your journey to level up and get productive!

Remember that people always level up at different stages, everyone's at different points in their life and it doesn't matter how old you are, that doesn't matter. If you see someone the same age as you in a different position that you'd like to be in, don't let this stress you out because your time will come. My biggest advice is to keep working hard, you will level up at your own pace and don't compare yourself to other people because sometimes I find that to be so discouraging - your time will come!

You've put a lot of work into your CV, you've been called for an interview (firstly, congratulations!) now is the time to ensure that your potential employers know that you'll be ideal for the job in your dream career. Without panicking you (that never helped anyone!), a lot rides on this day. You'll need to be confident without coming across to cocky - in my experience of working in retail, your interviewers will often make their minds up pretty quickly, so it's worth putting in some serious preparation before you head over for your interview. (This post contains a paid for advertorial but as always, all opinions are my own).

You may not have long to impress them, so you'll need to go fully armed with all your best attributes, a little wit, and not forgetting a question or two for them (this shows that you're interested in the role and you're keen, which is never a bad thing!). Therefore it's time to get your notes open on your phone and start typing some ideas down that will help you make the most of your upcoming interview. The following are some ideas and advice for those that are about to be interviewed for a job they really want and how to make a positive lasting impression.

1. Consider The Environment - you'll already know that you need to look as put together and smart as possible. However, it's worth considering the style of the company that you're planning to work for (fingers crossed!). If you're heading into a corporate business, where the new Jaguar F-Type SVR is very much the topic of conversation, turning up in fresh Yeezys and a Supreme top, wont go down very well. These are plenty of ways to incorporate (some) of your favourite labels and designs into an outfit that's expected. Make sure you've tried everything on, walked around and sat down in it and feel comfortable being yourself in the outfit. Add a little finesse any way you're able, without going overboard; when details stuck in an interviewer's mind, it'll help to remind them of you and the positive things you can bring to their team.

2. Gather Your Knowledge - an excellent way to impress a potential employer is to do some research on the brand that you're applying for and I think this is one of the most important things to do because if you're applying to work somewhere then they need to know that you're serious about the position as you're going to be potentially representing the company and advertising their products so they need to know that you actually believe in the product you're going to be selling. My advice is to get some background knowledge on the brand as this will show your enthusiasm and portray the effort that you've put in for the interview. There's nothing worse than a over-relaxed guy who doesn't say a lot and answers every question with a few beige words. Therefore, without bombarding them with facts, trickle-in the odd piece of information that you've picked up but make sure its relevant to what you're talking about.

3. Create Strength - the moment you walk into the environment should be where your confidence shines through. Eye-contact and a handshake will make a huge impression in any interview. Be polite to everyone as this makes such a good first impression. sit up right and have great posture. I'd also say to stay off your phone and make sure it's on silent. I know this is a weird one but don't be scared to show your nerves (not too much though) because if you go in and you're too relaxed to a point where it might seem that you don't really care and that's not what you want at all!

I hope you enjoyed this little midweek post - I really enjoy doing posts like these as it's one of those things that not a lot of us got taught in school and as someone who has had lots of interviews, I thought I'd share some of my top tips that I've learned along the way!

I don't know about you but I love a good pamper and that's exactly what today's post is all about, it's all about a product that has changed the way I look after my skin for the better AKA the best shaving gel I have ever tried. I've been trying this product for a few weeks now and I can officially say its a treat and within a very short space of time, I have become so bloody obsessed, it's crazy. It's a pleasure to say this post is kindly in collaboration with Milkman Grooming and there is a chance for you to win your very own bottle at the bottom of this post - if it's for yourself, your dad or your boyfriend you should join the giveaway! New year, new products - let's all try something new because I have and I'm in love. At the start of this year, I told myself that I want to look for brands I never usually look for and buy products I never normally buy and I'm so glad that I've started to do it because I've found a good un'!

The Clear Shaving Gel from Milkman Grooming is the ultimate shaving lubricant for people (I've heard loads of women rave about this too!) with sensitive skin. It's soap free and clear, so you can see exactly what you're shaving! I have noticed such a positive impact on my skin since using this gel and I've only needed to use 2 pumps per shave (yes it has a pump too!) so it will last you for ages. I think with things like moisturisers and shaving gels, it's so important to try different ones to find the best one for you as different skin reacts differently to different ingredients and I think a lot of people just go with whatever is available and what 'does the job' but looking after your skin is so important because we only get one, I don't know about you but I want to be using things on my skin which do the most for my skin and this is exactly what I have found with this product.

If you're looking for a new and exciting product that is going to step up your skincare routine, this is the product for you. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone as it makes my skin feel super comfortable - it has aloe vera in which helps to remove dead skin cells. There's a form below where you can get a chance to win your very own 500ml bottle (I am not personally running this giveaway and all winners will be contacted directly by Milkman Grooming).

I've wanted to talk about this subject for a while and I've never known how to write this as money is always a taboo subject to talk about because a lot of people keep this information quite private and rightly so in a way because the money someone earns and how they wish to spend it is totally up to them. When I was a lot younger, I was always fascinated by money and I've always had motivation to work hard and make something for myself and with that, came a lot of questions to especially my parents about how much they earn and how they got to where they are now. I always have the argument in my head when I see a loan company advertising on television or I remember when I just turned 18 and I had loads of credit card companies advertising their products to me asking me get a credit card with them and I think for a lot of people it would be too tempting, you know if someone is offering you £500, some people would think that's amazing because they wouldn't even think twice about how they're going to pay it back and I think that's so bad (and scary!). I think my parents were definitely worried about the way I spent money especially when I was younger because I was a shopaholic and I remember I had a part time job in retail at the time and I used to easily spend the whole of my wage packet in a week, sometimes even less and as I've got older, I've valued money so much more because I've worked for it and I've learned that money is much more important than a shopping trip.

1. Don't get sucked in by Instagram. As someone growing up surrounded by social media, I think at one point I was definitely guilty of this. It's important not to get sucked in to a hole of looking up to people that spend lots of money, to a point where you do the same and get yourself trapped in a hoover of debt. My parents also taught me the value of money and that's something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I think people are massively influenced by celebrity lifestyle now a days and it's great to look up to people but remember that some people are in totally different positions to yourself and that sounds harsh I know but it's true and it's reality - some people do spend lots of money and they can and then others spend lots of money and they can't but nobody would know they can't because people are attractive to materialistic things but remember that things aren't always as they seem and it's important to look after yourself and your own finances.

2. Think about your future. I touched upon this in my last blog post, always think about your future and how you want your future to be. This is also good practice for when you do have to budget your money and prioritise household bills because as daunting as it is, we all have to do it eventually. I think it's so tempting in this world where prices of things are getting higher and it's so easy to get money in your account without even thinking about how you're going to pay that money back and then people can get in such a vicious cycle of constantly doing this and then before they know it, they're in lots of debt. It's good to take yourself out the situation, if you're thinking about getting a loan then don't do it on a quick little thought - think: can you afford this? how're you going to pay this back? If you are in debt, my biggest advice is to pay as much as you possibly can - calculate how much you need for the month weekly and stick to that budget and pay off your debt as much as you can each month to minimise how much you owe. If it's with a credit card company then make sure to cut that card up so you can't be tempted to use the money on it because it will just turn into a vicious cycle of paying a bit back then spending it again. I always divide my money up within 4 weeks, this way it enables me to save some money whilst also having some money for myself.

3. Track your spending. This is something that has helped me so much, I actually don't know how people survived without mobile banking because I am literally obsessed. If you have an iPhone, you'll know that your phone now tells you what apps you've spent the most time on in a week and my banking app is always right at the top because I think it's so important to track how much you spend and to keep a track on how much money you have! Every bank has online banking and it's a great way to know how much monthly spending you have, so you can work out how much you will be left this - this is the best way to track your spending in my opinion as you can see instantly how much you've got left for the rest of the month! I know that Lloyds TSB do 'Save the Change' which is where they will round up how much you spend and save the change for you - this is a great way to save little amounts and then before you know it, it'll add up! If you can't get mobile banking for whatever reason, then you could still do this by getting a money box and then save your change for a whole year (if you saved a £1 everyday then at the end of the year, you'd have £365 and this could go on Christmas presents or use it to treat yourself!)

4. Shop the sales! If you've really wanted something for a long time then wait till it's gone into the sale. I know a really fun add on that you can get for your browser called Shoptagr and you can go through things that you love and add it to your Shoptagr account, so when it gets discounted then it'll pop up and you can even have the notifications on your phone so you will never miss a good deal. I've never used this myself but I've seen so many people rave about it and I don't know why I've never used it to be honest because I'm constantly browsing my favourite clothing sites!

5. Enjoy life and the free things. This is something that again, I've learned as I've grown older. I tend to take walks on my own with my earphones in, visit my family and friends and just enjoy things that are free. If you didn't have any money, then what would you do? Enjoy having money because you don't have to blow it all, it's not going anywhere and it will still be there if you want something - so don't go into a panic and think that you've got to spend it all at once.

6. It's so easy for us to overspend whether we are going out on a stag do in York or Brighton or heading out to town on a Saturday night, where we're not really thinking about how much cash we are spending over the course of a few hours, especially when we're far away from home and want to make the most of it. Mobile banking is an absoloute lifesaver when you want to keep track of every single penny that you are spending. And if you're someone who likes to go out and splash the cash on a weekend, you know that, come Monday morning, you are instantly regretting it. Learning to track your spending is one of the best habits you can get into.

LET'S TALK ABOUT SAVING MONEY & HONEST ADVICE

I've wanted to talk about this subject for a while and I've never known how to write this as money is always a taboo subject to talk about because a lot of people keep this information quite private and rightly so in a way because the money someone earns and how they wish to spend it is totally up to them. Hello! Happy New Year. Whilst going through 2018 I was constantly thinking about this blog post and how I'm going to write it and what I want to say. 2018 has been one of the most amazing years of my life to date for many reasons, including the people I've met and the things I've accomplished. I wanted to take this time to talk about a few tips I have to make 2019 your year. With every year, you're constantly learning new things about yourself and this life is a learning experience for us all. I'm one of these people who take everything as it comes, I have no particular goals for 2019 but I'm excited to work hard and that's as much pressure as I'd like to put on myself right now, I think the fact that we've all got through another year is enough. Don't put pressure on yourself because we all do things at different paces and that's okay!

1. Have fun. It's important to take time to enjoy every moment and embrace things that happen. Some things are doom and gloom but everything happens for a reason and everything works out eventually. I've always lived by the saying 'everything happens for a reason' and I truly believe this. There are steps that life throws at you until you get into the place you want to be and it's just something that we all have to go through. Remember that you're not the only person going through anything, there's always someone you can talk to and remember that there is always a light at the end of every dark cloud.

2. Save save save. I want to make an entire blog post on this subject (if you'd like!) but I've always valued the money that I earn and it's good to have fun and I'm not saying don't buy the shoes you want or don't go to Nando's but think to yourself, do you actually need this? Could you do something cheaper? I did this through 2018 and I saved myself so much money and it's always there if you want to save up for a house, a new car or that top you've always wanted. Work hard and work towards something you've always wanted.

3. Take pictures. I am probably the worst person for this, I don't know about you but my 'Following' list on Instagram was full of 2018 memories when I woke up this morning and I always think that I take loads of pictures but in reality, I clearly don't and that's something I want to get better at, so I can update my scrapbook and remember things that have happened.

4. Take time for yourself. I've always been a campaigner for this one. It's so healthy to spend time on your own with your own thoughts, I know so many people that absolutely hate being on their own and always want to be with people. Take time to watch your favourite film, clean your room or just take a little walk with your earphones in.

5. Surround yourself with the best people. I'm going to say it here first, if you find that someone in your life is toxic or unhealthy for you then get rid of them. This life is way too short to be wasting your time surrounded by people that you don't want to be around. It's not selfish, do it for you.

So there we are! I hope 2019 brings you all the happiness in the world and I'm so excited to see what 2019 brings me and you. I wish you all a very happy new year. I want to say a massive thank you for all of your continued support throughout 2018 - it means the absolute world to me!
