MY FACE MASK MUST-HAVE

Yes, it's a Sunday and I'm back again talking about one of my favourite things in the world - face masks. I'm going to be honest with you, me and face masks have took a break lately and I just haven't been reaching for them as much as I used to or as much as my skin would probably like me too and that needs to change. I featured the The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask in a post about a year ago and you guys loved it, so here I am back again to give you an honest update of how I've been getting on with the mask lately and if I'm still reaching for it over my other face masks or skin product alternatives.

I know if you're a regular reader of my blog then you will have heard this before, but it's so important to change up your skincare occasionally and give yourself (and your skin) a little break to discover new products, as your skin gets used to the ingredients in a product and the advantages of using the product won't be as effective as your skin gets used to them. However this goes without saying, but this is one of my favorite ever products that I've ever tried from any brand and will always be my go-to face mask. My skin has always been a very tricky one to handle, it goes super dry and then super dewy, I've never been one or the other. I've found that this face mask works best with both of my skin types (I have two, aren't I lucky?) the mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil and is 100% vegan to give your skin a reviving glow! I used this mask about 2-3 times a week usually after shaving as that dries out my skin so much, I usually leave it  a day after shaving and then apply this mask in my most troublesome areas of my face and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes until the mask has hardened and then I go ahead and cleanse it off - just a little tip for you, don't remove face masks with face wipes, this is just a personal tip as face wipes also dry out my skin so much, so it's kinda pointless to apply a face mask to moisturize my skin and then wipe it off with something that is going to dry it out so much.

I've been using this mask for about 2 years now and I can honestly say a little amount goes a long way. You only need to apply a little amount to your face and gradually share it around your troublesome areas with a mask spatula (or your hands, whatever you prefer!) and wait 10-15 minutes before removing it with warm water and you're all done (you wont be disappointed!)
You guys know how much I am obsessed with The Body Shop and all of their products. I've found using more natural products on my face way more effective over time and this is a product that I would recommend to absolutely anyone, despite what type of skin you have - have a go! The Body Shop offer little tests in store, where you can go and have a little swatch on your skin to see if you would react badly to it, which I think is an amazing idea so I would definitely recommend doing that before buying any product from any store.
