TAKING TIME FOR YOURSELF & YOUR SKIN

THIS POST CONTAINS GIFTED ITEMS.
Welcome to the first skincare post of 2020, are we all excited? I've been meaning to do a whole blog post on this topic for a while now and here we are. Self love is something that I always rave about, this could be taking a night out for pampering yourself, having your favorite meal and a early night or taking yourself away on a little holiday to relax and have some ultimate me time. Both of these are things that I've done myself in the past and I can't encourage you all to do the same. Talking from my own experience, I did not realize how much I needed alone time until I started to have it, I'm going to be completely honest. I took myself on holiday for about a week, all on my own and I have never felt so energized in my life, it was exactly what I needed. Our brains store so much information throughout each day and sometimes everything just gets a bit much, it doesn't matter weather you work 7 days a week or if you work 3 days a week, everybody is the same and we all get stressed and nobody should feel bad or embarrassed to admit that. We're all perfectly normal and we're human.

So, I usually take Sundays to give myself that time away from social media and the world in general. I love picking a Sunday as it's the end of the week, it's Monday tomorrow and I want to feel amazing on a Monday morning so I'm ready for a brand new week. The first plan of action is to run a bath, I've recently noticed how many people I know that don't like baths and that is crazy to me. Am I bathing in my own dirt? It's relaxing so I will always be a huge fan of a bath. I always use the Radox Men Muscle Therapy which is infused with black pepper and ginseng and it's been my go-to for years and I'm pretty happy about it. Adding a favorite scent or a soak to your bath can make you feel right at home.

After having a bath, I always like to moisturize my body and this isn't a recent thing. I did a few times quite a while a go and never went back to it but I notice such a difference in my skin,. especially now it's quite cold where I live and my skin is suffering I'm not going to lie. I've always banged on how I have really weird skin depending on the weather and it is really showing right now so a bit of moisture is exactly what my skin needs. I've been hugely obsessed with the Juicy Pear Body Yogurt (which was kindly gifted to me, thank you to The Body Shop!) which was part of this year's Christmas range and I am slightly upset that I may never be able to get another one but hey ho, I am using it very sparingly!

Now it's onto skin. My face is very confused by the weather at the moment and It's having some issues, I recently picked up the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil from The Body Shop and boy, did I need an oil? Yes I did. Oils have always appeared quite scary to me and I'm not sure why, I hate the idea of rubbing oil on my face but it is so luxurious and I think this is a product that is going to be re-purchased and re-purchased again. After I've eat, shaved and 'skincared' my body up I am ready for bed and something that has been helping me sleep lately is the SugarBear Sleep Vitamins (this is NOT sponsored, by the way hehe!) and I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical when they contacted me and asked me if I'd like some sent to me to see if I like them. Now, it could just be in my bed but I got sent a few months worth (very kindly by the SugarBear team, thank you so much!) and I've been taking them for around two months now every night, I have two when I'm ready to sleep and I've binged watched a few things and they have been helping me so much, so if you would like to check them out then I will leave a link here for you.
